Which Rangefinder (ie. Leica, Bessa L, Yasuhara) is recommended for a beginner?
zengie asked:
I am starting to find digital photography a little boring and am looking back to film for some inspiration. I'm pretty much a beginner to manual cameras and I'm really liking the look of the Yasuhara T981 but I've read that it's not really worth it. I'm looking through the Leica M Series but am getting kinda inundated.
So, what's the best rangefinder for someone who's just getting into photography but doesn't mind getting a camera that will last for a long time.

Kiev 4M, Russian camera?
mislanaday asked:
I asked this in another part of the forums, thought I'd pose the question here as well.
Just wondering if anyone is a fan of the camera.
I have a Russian rangefinder (Fed 5c) and I really love it, but it's hard to find lenses for it.
The Kiev 4M on the other hand has many options and it won't cost much to equip one with added lenses.

Why a digicam over a DSLR?
Edwin asked: With excellent DSLR cameras from Sony, Nikon, Olympus, Fujifilm, Canon, Pentax and Sigma selling for well under $1,000.00, why would anyone choose to buy a digicam for $799.00 (Fujifilm FinePix S100FS, MSR)?
Perhaps my bewilderment is caused by 37 years of having my eye to a viewfinder and enjoying interchangeable lenses. My compact camera has always been a Minolta Hi-Matic 7SII rangefinder.

Voigtlander Rangefinder?
Dizzy asked:
It is a 1954 Voigtlander Prominent Rangefinder. I am wondering what this camera is worth (do not intend to sell, but curious). It has the 50mm Nokton Lens, Case with flash inbuilt (lightbulb style), and a few different filters.

Camera question?
K_Gab asked:
I'm an amateur to photography and I'm planning on buying a 35mm rangefinder camera, but I'm not sure about the flash and the hot shoe. Do i need to buy a special flash even though the hot shoe fits? Does it depend on the camera? Or on the flash?
Well I was looking for nothing in specific, I don't wan anything fancy... but I would appreciate if you would recomend one... I really don't want to bother with the flash, so preferaly a camera that has a flash integrated in it. Are there any you might recommend?
