When will DSLR makers do away with the bouncing mirror?

The mirror causes soft images.

Why not just do away with the mirror and have electronic viewfinders like they do on TV cameras?

Or make them range finders?

Please try and think about this without the normal resistance to change responce.

The TV camera batteries work fine.
Anyone into the craft should know the mirror bounces in slr cameras and hence causes softness, get arangefinder and prove it to yourself.
digi one: get a Leica and find out for yourself....
